Another day, and yet another micro-edventure!  Cumbria is only a short hop away from us, and with the stunning Lake District, somewhere we have visited many times! (And why wouldn’t we – its beautiful!!!)   BUT we wanted somewhere different, somewhere new, and so Arnside it was.  A stone’s throw from the motorway (although we did have to drive along some precarious roads, I’m glad Mr Edventurer was driving!), Arnside is quiet little village, that seems to be ignored by those headed north to the Lakes!

Arnside proved to be a great choice too!  After a quick pit stop in one of the 2 local pubs, we set off along the beach, to take in the coastal walk.  With stunning views to Morecambe Bay and Grange-Over-Sands, as well as the mountains, this peaceful little village was heaven!

I am always at my most relaxed when surrounded by water, from little tiny streams to rivers, from waterfalls to the beach, there is something blissfully tranquil about the sound of water!  We weren’t blessed with great weather, but if it was wall to wall sun we were after, this wouldn’t be a great challenge!   Another perfect day out, and another new discovery!  We love to find new places, that aren’t jam packed with people!
